Package Type Properties
Package types are used if a product is available in different packages, for example, bag, hard box, mini bulk or bulk. When setting these up, there is a Unit Size that will make sure users enter quantities of a certain increment.
Note: Package types may have a price associated with them that will be added on to the base price of a product.
Each package type can be edited by right clicking on the name and selecting the Properties menu option.
A package type can have a separate name and abbreviation. The abbreviation will be used in areas where there is limited space available. These can be the same if needed. Package types are not allowed to be deleted from the system, but they can be hidden which will allow discontinued products to be removed from lists.

To add a new package type to a category, right click on the category name or the Package Types folder (blue arrow) and select Add New Package Type from the menu (red arrow) as shown here.
