Sub Category Properties
A sub category is used to define options available for a particular product. It could be a seed size, genetic trait or other option. These are used to group products.
A sub category is listed in the Sub Categories folder under a category.
To edit the properties of a sub category, right click on the sub category's name and select the Properties menu option.
To add an item, right click on the parent folder and select the Add New SubCategory menu item.
The product properties window has the following tabs:
A Sub Category can have a separate name and abbreviation. The abbreviation will be used in areas where there is limited space available. These can be the same if needed. Sub Categories are not allowed to be deleted from the system, but they can be hidden which will allow discontinued products to be removed from lists.
Sub Categories can have a price associated with them that will be added on to the base price of a product. These prices are maintained in three tiers for each zone.

Technology traits can be assigned after the provider and traits have been setup. This creates a relationship between traits and products for generating GPOS reports.
