The administrator can create and edit incentive discounts that will be available for all dealers.  This can be used to implement different sales strategies consistently across multiple dealers.  After a discount has been created, the name and discount can be changed.  These discounts belong to a sale year.  At the beginning of each sales year the discounts will need to be created.


The discounts entered on the Discounts form will be available in the drop-down menus when entering orders.  Discounts may be defined as dollars-per-unit ($) or percentage (%) and may be limited to a specific product category when they are applied to an order.  


These discount names cannot be edited by individual dealers.  These have been created at the company level and are available for all users.  The discount amount can be changed when it is applied to an order.



IMPORTANT: Discount type can not be changed after they have been saved.
