Dealer Transfer

Dealer transfers can be created to record products that are transfered from one dealer or location to another.  When transactions are created here, the related dealer inventories are adjusted automatically by creating corresponding shipment transactions.

• To view transactions, select a week range from the calendar on the left hand side.  
• To add a new record, select the origination and destination dealers, select a date and click in the product cell of one of the blank rows, complete the other fields and click the Save (red arrow) button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
• To edit a record, change the necessary fields and click the Save (red arrow) button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

In the example above, the following shipment records are created for the respective dealers.

Eric Jones - Transfer Out

John Dauer - Transfer In

This can be helpful since all three of these transactions are linked, if a change is made to the Dealer Transfer record, the dealer shipment records will be updated.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a dealer shipment is edited, the corresponding Dealer Transfer record will not be changed.  This is due to the fact the security in eSMS prevents a dealer changing another dealer's inventory.
